Transform Your Pictures Into Paintings, Drawings, and More!

BeFunky is a fun site that allows you to apply some great looking effects to your pictures. And the best part is that it’s all free! And as wise men say, “Free is better than less-than-free.”

The funny thing is that the one on the right is my real picture. My dad was the guy from the "Take On Me" video.

So easy, a brain dead sea monkey could use it

Editing your photos in BeFunky was made to be a snap. You simply upload your picture, select and adjust only a handful of options, and then download your new painted or hand drawn portrait.

This slick interface makes editing the effects as easy as it could be without losing any of the power that BeFunky provides.

BeFunky readily plugs into many of the social networking sites such as Myspace, Facebook, and Flickr, allowing you to select photos from your albums, modify them, and upload straight back in.

Nothing says love like a giant mug featuring your ulgy mug

Another great option is the ability to order a number of items with your new picture applied to them. If you have an imagination, you could probably have a ton of fun with this. The only problem with this feature was that I was not able to find an option to center or size the picture as I saw fit. That’s not a big issue since you can simply go back to your picture and cut it down to you specifications, but this would have been a nice extra.

BeFunky: Giving narcissists everywhere that badly needed confidence boost.

So unless you have mad artistic skills, head to BeFunky.com and check it out. And if you DO have mad artistic skills, then be sure remember this page, just in case you happen to lose your fingers in a tragic whiffle ball accident.

Use Google From Your Plain-Jane Cell Phone

Looking for a movie showtime?  How about a nice place to eat?  If you’ve got an iPhone or some other ridiculousl expensive phone, you’ve got no problems since you’ve got what amounts to a mini laptop in your pocket.   Now thanks to Google’s free text service, even those with a Zack Morris edition Nokia Brick will be able to enjoy this luxury.

I’ll shut up now

So, I would normally go into the awesomeness of such free services (free, as in Google charges nothing, but standard text rates apply), but I think I’ll hand the mic over to the geeks at Google. Check it out…

Be glad you get to listen to this guy instead of reading my cheese-tastic jokes!
